Learning to blog / Web 2.0 Netiquette
Okey, sudden realisation this morning and may as well be open about it...
Re-reading post from yesterday about the Grease poster, I was potentially being a bit harsh on Jimmy Osmond... Just in case anyone mis-understood I just found the combination of posters strangely amusing although I think that mis-fired. Not someone to ridicule an individual, it would appear that's exactly what I did... Lowest form of humour and all that. I'll be re-editing shortly... Now back to the point, I'm beginning to learn that if you run a public facing blog with sod all anonymity, that there are parameters (or at least parameters begin to form) of conduct etc. I'm not just referring to "Netiquette" here (although those certainly apply) as I think there are wider implications for behaviour. Maybe it's time to revisit "netiquette" in the context of Web 2.0/User Generated Content... So - guess the question I'm asking everyone is: "If we were to re-write Netiquette for Web 2.0 what would it be?" Please feel free to add your suggestions below and I'll compile them up... This could be interesting. :)Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device
